157 Our impression of White Oud
White Oud is often described as the "approachable" cousin of traditional Oud. While standard Black Oud is famous for being dark, smoky, and sometimes "animalic" (heavy and barnyard-like), White Oud is much lighter, creamier, and more versatile.
It is designed to give you the luxury of agarwood without the overpowering intensity.
White Oud typically follows a "soft-woody" profile. Instead of smoke and leather, it focuses on:
• The Vibe: Clean, powdery, and sophisticated. It often smells like a high-end spa or an antique library.
• Key Notes:
• Top: Often starts with soft florals (Rose, Jasmine) or bright citrus (Bergamot, Mandarin).
• Heart: Creamy Sandalwood, Patchouli, or soft spices like Saffron.
• Base: A "clean" version of Agarwood (Oud) mixed with White Musk and Amber.
